CHESSINGTON World of Adventures Resort is famous for its exhilarating rides and Gruffalo and Room On The Broom attractions.
But it was once a zoo and there are still over 1,000 animals to meet.
And readers can get two free tickets worth over £100 thanks to the return of Sun Superdays.
Among the zoo’s selection are lions, gorillas, tigers and penguins.
One of the biggest hits are Rothschild’s giraffes – Moja, Tonda, Kito, Oscar, Napoli and Khari – and I was lucky enough to feed them.
I defy any adult or child to dislike spending the day looking at these magnificent animals.
They are some of the most interactive I have seen at a zoo and were keen to connect with visitors.
Chessington is also home to four rescue skunks, which you can walk on a leash for an additional fee.
They were really strong, pulling me where they wanted to go.
I also helped cook dinner for Jackson the Binturong, a mischievous bear that zoo keepers say has a natural flavor similar to popcorn, but I had to take their word for it.
To rest your legs, you can take the Zufari, an all-terrain truck trip where you will come face to face with white rhinos and zebras.
And there is also a petting zoo and a Sea Life Center.
There is even a soft play if the weather is a bit cool.
Chessington World of Adventures Resort rides, including the Vampire and Gruffalo River Ride Adventure, are set to reopen from March.
Can’t wait to go back with my kids soon.
