Goodyear airship spotted over WNY [WATCH]

You see some pretty interesting things in Western New York. Last summer, the Navy Blue Angels flew over the city of Buffalo for a few days as they prepared for the Buffalo Air Show.

When I was a kid it was always cool to see something flying overhead and my friends and I would bet on what it would be like when we heard the engines roar.

Often we don’t see airships flying overhead, let alone the most famous airship.

The Tonawanda Fire Department tweeted a photo (and video) Wednesday afternoon showing the Goodyear blimp flying over western New York.

Some in the thread said they also saw it, heading north. It was unclear why the Goodyear airship was over western New York.

Goodyear blimps are famous for their signature blue and yellow look and show up at the most famous sporting events, the most watched Super Bowl.

I’ve never seen a Goodyear airship in person before, so I wonder if we’ll see it again in the near future.

Has anyone else seen it today?
