“Elephant in the Room”: In an endorsing interview with PennLive’s editorial board, Lt. Gov. John Fetterman opened up about his recovery from a stroke after critics claimed an NBC News interview showed he was not unfit to serve as a US senator.

Driver fined: A teenager who fatally hit an 82-year-old woman at a Harrisburg intersection last month faces a six-month license suspension and a fine of up to $500.

Change focus: As abortion providers across Pennsylvania deal with an increase in patients from neighboring states, they are revamping their services to offer medical abortions and telehealth, and to consider mobile clinics for more rural areas.

Reptiles: It was a banner year in 2021 for Reptiland, which welcomed around 65,000 visitors in 2021 and is on track for another 58,000 this year. The Union County Zoo nearly triples the size of its parking lot to accommodate new visitors.

Falcon Watch: A popular central Pennsylvania hawk watch that spans Cumberland and Perry counties was donated to the Pennsylvania Game Commission by the National Audubon Society. It records 15,000 to 30,000 raptors each fall.
