Kubernetes Docker Registry enables better container orchestration

Benefits of Kubernetes Docker Registry

The Kubernetes solution is a DevOps tool designed to automate repetitive manual tasks. The application developer asks Kubernetes to design a cluster in a specific way and it materializes.

  • Automated deployments – It is a crucial element of a continuous delivery system. It starts with creating the product, deploying it, testing it and finally releasing it for mass production. These four phases are linked and each phase includes different tasks.

Chaining means that when the tasks associated with building the product are actually performed, the deployment tasks are activated. When deployment tasks are completed, test jobs start, and so on. After completion of each task, a notification is received regarding the status of the job and any issues.

  • Monitor resources – Container workloads are monitored. In the event that a container is down, it automatically tries to regain its speed.
  • Scaling and shrinking – At some point the existing nodes become full and you have to add new ones or the demand drops and you have to remove the nodes, then Kubernetes and the cloud allow it. It has a deep ability to scale containers up or down as workloads increase or decrease.
  • Planning – Planning consists of placing the containers at the right node according to the configurations. The scheduler’s job is to schedule the pods on the nodes. For example, your 4-core machine starts deploying pods, then by default Kubernetes will start scheduling pods with the lowest priority.

It looks good at first glance, but memory and CPU start to fill up and cause chaos. So add memory and CPU limits. Kubernetes offers guaranteed QoS – a high priority, but you need to convey your needs.

  • Resource management – Base machine resource management is easy by placing constraints in containers. Thus, containers with resource limits will not be able to consume more reserves from the base machine [memory or CPU] than configured.
  • To improve – The Kubernetes Docker Registry tool even allows you to switch to a different version.
  • load balancing – Workload load balancing is supported. Load balancer is a device that can distribute incoming network traffic from various backend servers belonging to a cluster, virtually or physically.
  • Container Networking – A pod is a separate virtual host containing a specific namespace in the network and all containers run in this network namespace. This means that containers can communicate via port number or localhost. It’s like running multiple applications on your computer.

Kubernetes orchestrates containers on nodes or virtual machines. Container nodes run as a cluster and each container has endpoints, scalability, storage, and DNS.
